Abstract

Emotional disorders are highly prevalent in women in the reproductive period, particularly in women in the perinatal period and women undergoing fertility treatments. This dissertation aims to develop a new model of care based on information and communication technologies that facilitated the evaluation and prevention of emotional disorders in women who are pregnant, women at the postpartum and those undergoing fertility treatments. The present doctoral dissertation is composed by five articles; four of them have been already published in international peer-reviewed journals indexed in Journal Citations Reports while the last manuscript has been submitted for publication. These studies have been arranged in three different domains related with reproductive care, which are: (1) assessment protocols to identify women suffering emotional disorders and risk/protective factor for its development, (2) design of interventions to offer psychological care during the reproductive period and (3) analysis of user’s experience.
