Imagen artística en la enseñanza de las víctimas del conflicto armado en Colombia

Abstract

La investigación tiene como propósito determinar las formas de enseñanza de los docentes de ciencias sociales relacionadas con la problemática del conflicto armado colombiano y sus víctimas. También se interesa por indagar la manera como los estudiantes utilizan el conocimiento escolar relacionado con este campo. A su vez, estudia el papel de las emociones en la percepción de la violencia política en Colombia a través de la interpretación de imágenes artísticas. Para ello se diseñó y aplicó una propuesta didáctica de enseñanza del conflicto fundamentada en el análisis e interpretación de distintas fuentes textuales. La propuesta incluye una serie de obras de arte pictórico que ilustran diferentes momentos de la violencia contra las víctimas civiles en la guerra colombiana que son presentadas al alumnado con el propósito de valorar sus percepciones emotivas alrededor de ellas. Los resultados de la investigación señalan que el uso del material didáctico para la enseñanza del conflicto armado está determinado de manera significativa por las emociones y percepciones que tienen los estudiantes de la guerra y sus diversos actores. Sus reacciones emotivas hacia la guerra, reflejadas en su interpretación de las obras de arte, pueden ser entendidas como juicios morales y de valor que están fuertemente arraigados en sus representaciones sociales. Por otra parte, las prácticas de enseñanza de los docentes son variadas en cuanto que responden a sus propios intereses y motivaciones para emprender esta tarea de enseñanza. Curricularmente el conflicto armado colombiano y sus víctimas no está consolidado en los planes de estudio de las distintas instituciones indagadas y por el contrario están determinadas por la iniciativa personal de los distintos maestros. El uso didáctico de las imágenes artísticas demuestra que éstas pueden constituirse en un poderoso dispositivo de enseñanza de la historia ya que permite activar y evocar, no sólo conocimientos de tipo histórico, sino que también favorece la empatía emocional. A su vez, la investigación señala la fuerza con que la guerra en Colombia se ha instaurado en el imaginario colectivo sin que de ella se tenga suficiente claridad en cuanto sus orígenes, actores y características.

The purpose of the research is to determine the teaching methods of social studies teachers related to the problem of the Colombian armed conflict and its victims. He is also interested in investigating how students use the school knowledge related to this field. In turn, he studies the role of emotions in the perception of political violence in Colombia through the interpretation of artistic images. For this purpose, an educational proposal for the teaching of conflict based on the analysis and interpretation of different textual sources was designed and applied. The proposal includes a series of works of pictorial art that illustrate different moments of the violence against the civilian victims in the Colombian war that are presented to the students with the purpose of evaluating their emotional perceptions around them. The results of the research indicate that the use of teaching material for the teaching of armed conflict is determined significantly by the emotions and perceptions that students of the war and its various actors have. His emotional reactions to the war, reflected in his interpretation of works of art, can be understood as moral and value judgments that are strongly rooted in their social representations. On the other hand, the teaching practices are varied in that they respond to their own interests and motivations to undertake this teaching task. In the curriculum field the Colombian armed conflict and its victims are not consolidated in the study plans of the different institutions investigated and on the contrary are determined by the personal initiative of the different teachers. The didactic use of artistic images shows that these can be constituted as a powerful teaching device of history, since it allows to activate and evoke not only historical knowledge, but also favors emotional empathy. In turn, the investigation indicates the force with which the war in Colombia has been established in the collective imagination without which it is sufficiently clear in terms of its origins, actors and characteristics.
